I have thrown away my steam account, being unwilling to accept their new EULA.
Their response to my query/complaint was "As an employee of Valve, I'm sorry you feel that way. Valve is a very honest company and truly cares about their community. I've worked here for 5 years and I can tell you that with every decision that's made the community is considered."
Honest companies don't hold existing purchases hostages to unilaterally forcing you to sign a EULA change or lose access to your existing single user programs.
